Building a Secure World
Perseus understands that creating a secure world means that we must be able to safeguard lives, protect critical structures and industries and provide a safe environment for normal daily activity. Achieving this transcends governments and requires new functional partnerships to generate complete understanding and ownership of security challenges.
Central to this is the creation of a common process to assess threat, measure risk and formulate protective measures. The Perseus service is designed to appeal to government departments, industry and other organisations which recognise their vulnerability and who need security solutions with a high level of technical competence. Without this they will be vulnerable to disruption through real attacks and the threat of attacks. Operating under these conditions directly affects financial stability and credibility.
The Perseus Process

At the heart of the Perseus process is its ability to rapidly collect data for security analysis. Using remote sensor technology to create geospatial data sets this rapid survey techniques produce precision data which can be interrogated, measured and understood and from a threat and vulnerability perspective.
Perseus can use the geospatial data sets to determine:
- Line of fire and sight to visualize and measure actual and future weaknesses.
- CBRN dispersion.
- Road network vulnerabilities.
- Damage visualization for first responders.
The creation of 3D accurate data sets allow Perseus to test a security vulnerable site to identify and measure actual and future weaknesses. Combining security expertise with science reduces risk and uncertainty to an absolute minimum.
Extending the process to generate photorealistic 3D Computer Generated Imagery (CGI) allows operational planning to be accurately visualized, command and control scenarios to be tested and disaster recovery and contingency plans to be designed and explained.
The process can support formatting into external downstream software applications and has been critical to planning in the following project areas:
- Modifying road schemes to disrupt possible vehicle borne attacks.
- Designing stand–off protective measures to prevent attacks on building, structures and sites.
- Developing efficient and effective CCTV matrixes, ensuring that camera coverage is maximized.
- Producing contingency plans to provide confidence that evacuation plans and the coordination of emergency services can take place effectively and efficiently.
- Embedding security measures in the design of leisure, sporting and retail facilities.
Perseus staff
Perseus’ unique personnel skill sets includes:
- Police and military strategic planners.
- Analysis staff. Including hostile vehicle mitigation, CBRN and Human Factors.
- CGI specialists. Production of photorealistic imagery.
- Design staff. Identification and validation of physical construction and barrier protection to recognized national and where available international standards.
This unique combination of talent delivers a tested collective skill set equalling over two decades of data collection and analysis expertise:
- All personnel were involved in pioneering the use of remote sensor technology in the security environment. The capability has been developed in conjunction with government agencies and organisations.
- Perseus personnel have been involved in providing security analysis services to a number of high profile security projects. They enjoy a high level of informed contact with key security policy makers and government departments. They are experienced in inter-agency operations and project management.
- They have been influential in the identification and validation of physical construction and barrier protection to recognized national and where available international standards.
